Find the context behind your next story

Use a short description to explore how an idea connects to coverage already observed in Discover.

Start with an idea

Paste a proposed headline, name a topic or describe your angle in a few sentences. Include the people, products or event that distinguish the story. You can search in your own language.

Review the closest matches

The tool combines headline matching with similarity to the content of trend clusters. Read the title, summary and associated topics together. Highlighted words show literal overlap; a related theme may use different words.

Build an editorial brief

Compare a draft headline with existing coverage, spot adjacent story angles and check whether a broad topic contains several different events. Save relevant trends for a team discussion before commissioning a story.

Open a result in your account to investigate its coverage and activity. To inspect the people, places and organizations inside a complete draft, use Entity Extractor.

What these results tell you

This is D2TR’s view of observed Discover coverage, not an official Google search service or a prediction of traffic. Google describes Discover as a personalized feed based on people’s interests. Matching an existing trend does not guarantee that your article will appear there. Read Google’s Discover guidance

The daily allowance is checked on the server against both your IP address and a necessary browser cookie. A search attempt uses one request, including an empty result; reloading this page does not reset the allowance.
